The king of robots, Mr. House had tons of influence over the design of any-and-all electrical devices in the Fallout universe. As a young man, Mr. House founded RobCo and collaborated with other relevant companies prior to the Great War. But did Mr. House build Liberty Prime?

Mr. House did build Liberty Prime. His company, RobCo, was commissioned to build Liberty Prime in a collaboration between General Atomics International and the United States Army.

Fallout: New Vegas players can’t ask Mr. House about his time designing Liberty Prime. However, they can learn about RobCo’s involvement by reading terminal entries in Fallout 3.

Mr. House paid to build Liberty Prime

In Fallout 3, the Lone Wanderer works alongside the Brotherhood of Steel. The group takes over a building named The Citadel, which houses Liberty Prime.

While exploring the Citadel, players will come across Liberty Prime in the main laboratory area.. Standing gigantically tall, the robot was created by the pre-war government for use in the Great War.

Players can access a terminal beneath Liberty Prime. After opening it up, the player can read classified historical records.

The records state the project goal for Liberty Prime, being “no less than the creation of the most powerful combat robot the battlefield has ever seen.” It has the express goal of liberating occupied Anchorage, Alaska from its Chinese military occupants.

A summary of the entry says the United States Army has succeeded in contracting both RobCo and General Atomics International to work on their first joint project.

The robot they create, the entry says, will be the “very embodiment of American military might – a walking, talking, nuke-tossing hero who will remind the world what it means to be a superpower.”

In Fallout: New Vegas, the player can speak with Mr. House and learn more information about his past. He reveals that he’s the founder and CEO of RobCo Industries, the very same company that designed Liberty Prime.
