Fallout games often have romantic options, but who can you sleep with in Fallout 3?
You can not sleep with anyone in Fallout 3. There’s a few characters you can flirt with, but you can’t actually sleep with anyone.
This is different from Fallout: New Vegas, where you can sleep with a few different NPCs.
Who you can (kind of) sleep with in Fallout 3
Despite not being able to sleep with anyone, there’s a few NPCs the player can flirt with.
For example, Bittercup from Big Town can flirt with you. If the player is nice to her and supportive of her opinions, she’ll ask if the Lone Wanderer is seeing anyone right now.
Bittercup will also encourage the player to come back and visit her. If the player chooses to do so, she’ll excitedly approach you and hand you a randomized gift.
Another example of a romantic interaction is Mr. Burke. When the player enters Moriarty’s Saloon in Megaton, they’ll be waved over by a man sitting in the corner. He’ll proposition the player to destroy Megaton for a reward and home in Tenpenny Tower.
If the player has the “Black Widow” perk, they can seduce Mr. Burke. This seduction can convince Burke to spare Megaton, or instead increase the amount of caps given to destroy it.
Regardless, Mr. Burke will become infatuated with the player. Burke tells the player to wait in Megaton, as he will “send” for them soon. Later, Moriarty can hand the player a love letter from Burke.
The letter encourages the player to stay in Megaton, as Burke’s business prevents him from sending for her. Burke will send a few more letters before eventually stopping.
Another romantic-esque option is to purchase Clover’s contract from Eulogy Jones in Paradise Falls. She falls madly in love with anyone who holds her contract, but this is all that happens.
At best, this is all the player will receive in terms of romantic options. Many players wish their character could become romantically involved with Amata, your childhood friend, but this is never an option.
