Sasuke comes back in episode #478 of Naruto Shippuden. The episode is titled “The Unison Sign” and encompasses the climax of the final fight between him and Naruto. He accepts Naruto’s ninja way, agreeing to return to the village.

As the current Shadow Kage, he now works under Naruto’s Hokage office as a special ninja that tackles difficult missions outside the village. His maxed out sharingan and rinnegan require him to take on these tasks that other ninja cannot.

He becomes good again because Naruto never gave up on him. Naruto kept insisting he could get through, convincing him to break the cycle of hatred. After the pair fought their final battle, he accepted Naruto’s ninja way of helping each other’s pain.

Yes, Naruto and Sasuke are friends again. The Uchiha often works outside of the village, but the two still consider themselves the closest of friends. Why is Sasuke Never Home?
