An unlikely couple, Inosuke and Aoi are confirmed by the end of Demon Slayer’s plot. But how did Inosuke fall in love with Aoi?
Inosuke was able to fall in love with Aoi when she prepared a plate just for him. He thinks of it as “strong” that she catches him stealing food, and Inosuke develops a new interest in Aoi once he realizes how caring she is.
The two are confirmed as a couple during the bonus chapter to the show’s finale. One of their ancestors is shown in a futuristic timeskip.
Inosuke is able to fall in love with Aoi
In chapter #204, Inosuke is crawling around the ground of the Butterfly Mansion. He’s sniffing for food, and thinks to himself “I’m hungry.” Things have calmed down in the world following the final battle against Muzan and the remaining Upper Rank Demons.
Meanwhile, Aoi is in the kitchen chopping up food. Inosuke crawls into the kitchen, staying out of Aoi’s sight. He notices some freshly prepared food on the table above him. Removing his boar mask, Inosuke starts grabbing and inhaling the meal.
Aoi notices and yells at him for stealing food again. Inosuke says he’s not, but his mouth is full.
“How does she notice so fast,” Inosuke thinks to himself. “Maybe she’s strong.”
She brings over a specially made plate of food to Inosuke. Aoi says that if he’s hungry, he can eat from that plate. It was just for him and he can eat from it whenever he wants.
Aoi walks away with another warning for Inosuke to stop stealing her food. She continues to chop away in the kitchen, and Inosuke looks over at her with a new interest before he smiles down at the food Aoi prepared for him.
So that’s the answer. Inosuke is able to fall in love with Aoi when she prepares food for him. He realizes she’s strong in how quickly food-stealers are caught, and preparing a plate especially for Inosuke is nice.
