The Boruto manga has recently put Sasuke in some dangerous situations. The fight between Sasuke, Naruto, Boruto and Kawaki against Isshiki and Momoshoki has proved to be the climax of Boruto’s childhood. It featured many death flags for Sasuke to die in Boruto, but none panned out.
No, Sasuke does not die in Boruto. He lost his Rinnegan in the climactic battle against Isshiki and Momoshiki, but Sasuke held on to his life. It does not seem at this point another conflict could take his life.
Boruto used his newfound Karma abilities to transport the group away from Konoha. There, Isshiki completely knocks Sasuke around. He even lost his Rinnegan when Momoshiki took control of Boruto’s consciousness.
If Sasuke does die in Boruto
Chapter #54 showed the Leaf Village group’s victory. Isshiki is defeated and Momoshiki is temporarily suppressed within Boruto. Naruto passed out from exhaustion after using Baryon Mode, a secret move that Kurama said would kill them both if applied.
Considering how anticlimactic it would be to lose Naruto from passing out, it seems that only Kurama was lost. Kurama baiting Naruto into Baryon Mode makes sense. Naruto would likely not have agreed if he knew only Kurama would lose his life.
As it’s looking now, Sasuke does not die in Boruto. His strength has been nerfed, but it seems he lives to give Boruto his cape and sword in person. Kawaki says to Boruto in the flash-forward, “I’ll send you where I sent the Seventh Hokage.”
If this implies Naruto is out of my commission somehow, whether that be dead or locked away, it makes sense to think Sasuke suffered a similar fate. I wouldn’t be so quick to make assumptions, however.
Of course there is still time for Sasuke to lose his life before the Boruto timeskip. However, it seems doubtful at this point. Sasuke’s “death” was implied by so many cliffhangers that if he didn’t lose this battle, I don’t think he’ll lose a future one. It’s safe to say that Sasuke does not die in Boruto.
The Boruto series is yet to lose any of the old generation of ninja. No adults have been lost in battle so far.
