He made a promise he’d come back one day, but does Naruto visit The Great Naruto Bridge?
Unfortunately, Naruto does not visit the great Naruto bridge after he leaves the Mist Village. He does not return to the area at any later time in the story.
The land of the Mist does not have much more time to shine later in the plot. Characters from the village continue to appear, but Naruto does not return to the village ever again.
Naruto leaves behind the Great Naruto Bridge
In chapter #33, two weeks have passed since Naruto and Team 7 successfully protected the construction of a bridge in the Land of the Mist. A large conflict between an organized crime boss and a violent assassin named Zabuza ensued.
Sasuke protects Naruto from Haku, a young boy with mysterious jutsu that tags along with Zabuza. The conflict comes to an end after the citizens of the small Mist town band together to push the organized goons out.
The master bridge builder and his grandson, Inari, tell Team 7 their goodbyes. Thanks to Team 7, the bridge was successfully completed. Kakashi thanks the builder for the hospitality and Naruto promises Inari that he’ll come back to play with him again sometime.
Naruto and Inari share a tearful goodbye before Team 7 sets off for their return to the Leaf Village.
The bridge builder says Naruto touched Inari’s heart, and Inari then touched the hearts of everyone else in the city. “Naruto built the bridge that eventually carried us all to hope and courage!”
An official name for the bridge had not been decided yet. With only “one name that would truly fit,” the builder decides on “The Great Naruto Bridge.”
The builder hopes the name will ensure the bridge stands forever. It is hoped to become super-famous all over the world as a symbol of triumph and endurance.
Naruto does not visit the Great Naruto Bridge later in the show. The land of the Mist is rarely explored beyond this point, as the only references to the area are newly shown through defected ninja from the area.
